A Macrame Workshop with Noelle O’Toole
Noelle O’Toole is a recognised macramé expert in the NW and runs ‘Manchester Macramé Co’ (Face Book – Manchester Macramé Co).
Modern macramé is having a huge revival and is great for mindfulness. This two-hour workshop is designed to provide a basic introduction to macramé and its techniques, enabling you to realise the amazing potential it has for creating fashionable and practical items, as well as arts and craft.
During this fun and relaxed workshop you will make a hanging pot holder which you can take away with you. You’ll learn two very widely used macramé knots, the wrap knot and the square knot, using100% cotton cord that is very environmentally friendly and ethically sourced.
All materials will be provided, including a plant pot, instruction/information leaflet and a bag to take your lovely new pot hanger home in, plus a trailing plant (courtesy of Goosfest).
Your macramé plant hanger would also make a great Christmas gift and will suit any home.
No experience is required, the event is beginner friendly.
There are plenty of parking spaces at the Old Fuel Depot, which has disabled access. Tea and Coffee will be included.
See you there and let’s get knotting!
