Join Emma for an immersive introduction to Linocut workshop, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of this versatile printmaking technique. This hands-on 3 hour session is perfect for beginners or for those who have some previous experience who wish to develop their skills.
The workshop will cover: the basics of linocut, including the tools and materials; creating a unique design considering areas to carve away and those to leave in relief; transferring your design onto lino and carving safely and effectively; the process of inking and printing your carved lino.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a series of prints to take away and frame as well as the skills and knowledge to continue exploring this process at home.
All tools and materials provided.
Please bring: Any images, sketches or inspiration you may wish to work from. An apron and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
