Description
Goosfest always goes the extra mile and expense, to ensure only the best comedy talent is included in what has become an annual fixture in the programme. Given that previous Goosfest comedians in earlier years have included the likes of Sarah Millican and John Bishop, the acts we bring in have much to live up to. The Goosfest Comedy Night has also earned a great reputation on the UK comedy circuit amongst comedians. This event always sells out quickly so early purchase is recommended.
This year’s performers will include:
- Howard Walker (compere) is a chatty and charming stand-up from Bradford with a natural stage presence, an instantly amenable demeanour, inventive imagery and the best comedic use of a Belgian place name you will ever hear!
- Tom Taylor (headline) has received high praise from audiences and critics alike: his unique brand of musical comedy is smart and silly in equal measure, and he can boast an impressive stock of quirky and very funny musical one-liners. His brand of nervous, neurotic musical comedy – coupling deliberately simplistic tunes on an old Casio keyboard with cleverly constructed lyrics and smart wordplay – is an absolute delight.
- Jacob Nussey (middle act) unassumingly draws in audiences with his deadpan style and original thinking. He brings sharp observations, ill-fated anecdotes, and clever punchlines.
- Lovdev Barpaga (opener) was voted ‘Pun King’ in 2017. He is a superbly silly comedian who somehow manages to make ‘Dad-jokes’ extremely funny. He also likes to chuckle along with the audience as if embarrassed to have the temerity to be up on the stage.
It promises to be yet another great night of comedy!
