Pottery Throwing Tasters

Ever watched the pottery wheel and thought “that looks easy”?

Step up to the wheel and see what it really takes to throw a pot. The wheel spins, the clay fights back, and suddenly you’re creating something from absolutely nothing. You’ll leave with a new respect for the craft and a perfectly imperfect pot that proves you gave it a go.

This 45-minute hands-on session is messy, mindful and surprisingly addictive — and yes, you’ll make something (however wonky).

Made something you love? We can glaze and fire it for you (£20) So you can keep your creation.

Please note: Clay can be messy, aprons are provided but consider this when making your clothing choices on the day and please remove your jewellery, and watches etc.

Lisa and Liz are the co-owners and their enthusiasm for all things ceramic is reflected in the atmosphere of the studios which is endlessly encouraging and friendly with a community of members, many of whom started as complete beginners and some of who are now regularly exhibiting and selling their work.
