Jeremy Sassoon’s MOJO - Musicians Of Jewish Origin
Goosfest gets off to spectacular start this year with a welcome return to Goosfest for Jeremy Sassoon and his trio with their award winning show – Jeremy Sassoon’s MOJO. This show took the Edinburgh Festival by storm last year with many accolades. Since Jeremy first appeared in the earlier years of Goosfest he has become an internationally renowned singer-pianist. With his trio of superb musicians, he will take you on a journey from the golden era of George Gershwin, the Great American Songbook, through to the 21st Century, honouring artists such as Carole King, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Randy Newman and Amy Winehouse. This show is a feast of wonderful music, including unforgettable songs you remember dancing to plus surprising and hilarious anecdotes. MOJO is illuminating, uplifting and joyous entertainment! This will be a sell-out performance and early purchase of tickets is recommended.
Jeremy has headlined at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and he regularly plays at the Pizza Express Jazz Club and the 606 Club in London, as well as the A-Trane Jazz Club in Berlin. His 11-piece Ray Charles project (previously a night to remember at Goosfest) delighted the audience at the Main stage of the Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2019 in a line up including Jamie Cullum and Ms Lauryn Hill. Following someone selecting one of his songs (‘What we’ve handed down’) on Desert Island Discs, it hit the number one vocal download in iTunes chart.
